Our hunting areas are excellent and produce great animals every year, but as many of you know, a guide can make or break a hunt! Our guides are knowledgeable and experienced and though the hunting area may be the same we structure the hunt around the hunter. All of our guides are bowhunters, even though the majority of the hunters we take are rifle, it is nice to know your guide has the know how to close the gap and provide a good shooting opportunity.

Charlie Barberini
Hunting Guide
Many of you recognize Charlie from fishing with me or packing on hunts. Charlie started with me in 2011 and worked as a deckhand and a packer on Goat, Moose, Black Bear and primarily Brown Bear hunts. After putting in his 3 years he got his guide license and is now guiding both hunts and charters for ATO. Charlie is pictured with his personal bear here. In the off season Charlie guides waterfowl in Alaska and California.

Brian Babanzien
Hunting Guide
Brian started his guiding career in Idaho in 2007 and came to Alaska and started guiding in 2009. His first hunt with ATO was on Kodiak in 2011. After being around him, seeing his work ethic and that he had that “killer” instinct, I knew he was going to be a hell of a guide. He worked with another outfitter/flying service for years, while filling in with us when he could. He is now back with us for the majority of our hunts. His specialties are moose, mountain goats & brown bears. When not guiding or hunting for himself, he works as a commercial fisherman on Kodiak Island

Bradley Aga
Hunting Guide
Brad was raised in a village on the south end of Kodiak Island and has been hunting & fishing his whole life, literally! His specialties are obviously brown bear, mountain goats & Sitka blacktail, but Brad has also guided moose hunts as well as salmon & steelhead trips. He is in top physical shape and is an asset to Alaska Trophy Outfitters

Brock Sanders
Hunting Guide
Brock has been with ATO for many years, both as a hunting & fishing guide. He primarily focuses on our waterfowl hunts for sea ducks on the Kenai Peninsula and Kodiak, though he does love to guide blacktail hunts. He specializes in fly fishing for trout, salmon and steelhead. When not guiding in Alaska you’ll find him duck & goose hunting the lower 48!
